Im new here so please excuse the typing.
I have a set of heads that have the casting numbers 462824 and the numbers 12 78 which i believe to be the year and date. Can anyone give me some info on these heads? also i just bought a 96 camaro and i have a problem with the security system, can anyone tell me where the relay for the security system it keeps running the battery downor want start when i try it after setting for awhile. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

didn't have 462824, but they list this #:
462624.....1975-86...350/400......76cc chamber

Yeah , they are # 624 heads, hardened seats, smog heads, with probably 1.94/1.5 valves in them. I have a set I pulled off my ' 78 Z several years ago. Not much in the way of performance, and prone to cracking, but they do have hardened seats!

As stated. Purty much are crack prone. Deffinately not worth the effort.
