ok here is my problem i have an 87 that is completely stock and has a carb (just saving for a 1st generation camaro, anyone have one for sale for 5000)and the car drives and runs great at any speed when driving normal(not flooring it),but when i punch it from a stop or at low speeds it pulls hard until 45-50 then it starts to hesitate and acceleration slows down. it almost feels like the secondaries close. what would be causing this? i have not touched the carb except to adjust the mixture about 6 months ago, but the problem started about two weeks ago. i thought it might be running lean but i adjusted the mixture in everyway and the problem is still there. could it be the a dirty fuel filter? any help will be appreciated.

Probably the fuel filter. Watch the threads, they strip easy, if your carb is like the older Qjets.
Or is it on the frame like the injected cars?
