The "double hump" heads were used on 4V engines, they had 2.94" intakes, and 1.50" exhaust valves. The 302 had the same castings with larger valves, 2.02", and 1.60".
The 2V had smaller valves, and a different casting with smaller ports, and larger combustion chambers to lower the compression for regular gas.
I believe chevy used the same short block for the Camaro 327 engines and the only difference between the 2V and 4V engines was the heads, intake and carb.
The 302 was a "Special High Performance engine with better crank, bearings, rings, heads, block, valves, intake and carb.
