Re: Attitude !!

Wouldnt that wed have all bought one and saved it.... Back in those days I was in college on LI and lived just a little north of this shop. I had a vw beetle but hung out with some local guys and followed the LI street racing scene a bit. There were some hot tuner cars running out of that shop but the sold package cars werent feared much by the local crowd. Sort of the same built not bought thing you see in some quarters today. Nastiest thing i remember that drove in up there was a snow white 62 Dart. Thought it was the ugliest thing i ever saw til it left the line.

67RSSS......owned since 69. A basket case for most of it.

Re: Attitude !!

I delivered Newspapers to a guy that had one parked outside. He also had a Baldwin Motion Avanti, had to have been ultra rare.

Re: Attitude !!

I traded a '58 Corvette for a '68 Baldwin Motion III conversion done to an RS SS with a 350 factory engine install. The L-88 engine had a block with Yenko cast above the timing cover. Appears Don cast his own blocks by resourcing Caterpillar to cast his block to his specs. The Baldwin Motion Camaro became available thanks to the wife selling it to pay off her husbands bond for getting caught street racing (third time that night), and then trying to outrun FHP by trying to drive to Orlando down the interstate with 4.88 rear gears. Might have made it but he ran out of gas first.

My Baldwin had a 1968 style L-88 fiberglass hood instead of the 1967 427 "Stinger" hood shown in the ad.
