650k 69 Camaro build

Saw one today, up close and personal, (even got to touch it.. lol ) that was at SEMA this year, I think he said it won 5 awards. A truly amazing work of art and it would take a day or 2 to fully understand and appreciate the work that was done. I guesstimated it was a 400k build and was told more like 650k

With all that race oriented stuff you would think they would set the pedals so you can heel toe downshift.

these are poser builds that I doubt will never see track use. At $650k build costs....wow.

Re: 650k 69 Camaro build

I think they are kind of cool in an over the top kind of way (read Munster Dragula) but in reality they are so far from what the original car was it seems like a contest to determine how many things can they customize or change to create something else. To each their own I guess.

Looks just right for a SEMA car.

Maybe out of place at a concourse type show.

And vice-versa

I can appreciate the workmanship, but do these cars ever really get driven? Would be a shame if not.

The builder told me the owner wanted them to track tune it so he could do some Auto-x. So, it appears the owner wants to but, will he?

Re: 650k 69 Camaro build

I agree with the previous post about a fool and money.
I have see cars here (members)that look just as good or better and I am sure there has not been that much money invested

Re: 650k 69 Camaro build

When the owners get tired of them and move on to the next big thing they probably won't sell for 1/4 of what they have into them.
