Fury 3 help?

My dad finally got a "muscle car", but it wasn't a Camaro . He got a good deal on a 65 Fury 3 and couldn't pass it up. The problem is that it's been nearly impossible to find anything outside of motors on the net. My question is this. Does anyone know of a Plymouth forum(or Mopar forum) that is kinda like this one or of a parts dealer that may have body panels, trim, apolstry etc. for odd-ball cars like the Fury series? Thanks in advance, Jason Hopson

Cool Re: Fury 3 help?

Those are cool cars
I used to campaign a few back-in-the-day.

Here is the most active Mopar forum I know of - http://www.moparstyle.com/
There used to be one called 'mopartech.com' - but their link I had is now dead.

What is the name of that huge Mopar Salvage Yard in the South ? It was featured on Horsepower TV a couple of years ago. Someone here should remember it !

Smile Re: Fury 3 help?

I did a search on yahoo for Mopar salvage yards and I was surprised at the number of results ! Good shopping.

Re: Fury 3 help?

Dont be embarrased by a Mopar! Those are cool cars. My first car was a 1964 Dodge 330 2 door post car. It was a retired Utah Highway Patrol car, had a 383, 4 speed, and 4.56 rear gears. Talk about a first car! This car was pretty dam fast for what it was. I love the look of the old AFX cars.

Re: Fury 3 help?

Not embarrassed at all. I'm tickled to death that he finally got something. A Sport Fury w/ 383 and 4speed was his first car(my parents dating car), he then sold it in favor of a 69 Road Runner(which he sold for $700$ in 89 ) He and my mom went to watch my wife and I race each other in Bristol. As soon as we were done he kept saying "I wish I still had that Road Runner, I'd take it down the track" I told my wife when we got in the car "He'll have a car in the next year". I didn't know he would buy one in two weeks !!! It's got an auto and 318 wide block, but he's already looking for a BB. I found him a 727/ 440 w/crossram still in the car(600$ for the whole shebang. So if he doesn't buy that, I will, and turn it for some $. Anyways, thanks for the help. I appreciate it and I know he really does. I've been so caught up in Chevy stuff it's like a totally different world for me to read something about Mopar of Ford. Thanks again. If anyone knows of other sights, I'll check this post daily for a while and update him as they come. Jason Hopson

Quite the deal (steal). Crossrams were good for torque up to 4000 rpm.

No embarassment for driving a Mopar. Hemi's still rule! Listen at the track, you can hear from the starting line, the Hemi's are still pumping iron at the big end.
