What paint did you guys use?

Hi all,

What paint did you guys use in the trunk area? I was thinking Zolotane but not to sure. Car is a 67 so I'm not sure what color was originally used. Only looking to be close as this is a driver.

Thanks

Re: What paint did you guys use?

I've heard Zolatone is about the best. Whatever, don't use the OER rattle can stuff....I used it on my 67 and a couple of months later wiped the trunk down with a wet rag....it softened and picked up the paint.

67 Plain Jane being assembled with 427, 4 spd Muncie, 12 bolt rear with Mosers, 4 wheel discs

Re: What paint did you guys use?

I used Zolatone Gray/White ZT-20-TS03 on my 67. This stuff stinks like no other paint. If you can I would spray it outside and leave it outside for 2 days or more. Practice with it for tip size, pressure, etc. It doesn't spray like normal paint.

Agreed! I'm not sure about Zolatone but every rattle can brand of trunk spray I looked at in my career in auto parts had on the label must be clear coated. Most people don't bother to read the label including the guys at the parts store.
