Glass roller questions

I've got a few questions about glass rollers:

1) What's the point of the quarter glass roller having a spring pushing on it? It seems to make the roller hard to turn in one direction. And completely prevent it from turning in the other. And when I remove the spring, the roller is very loose on its pin. Is this working correctly?

2) The roller on the very bottom of my quarter glass is "snug". It turns when I spin it, but it isn't loose. Also, it seems to have a bit of a wobble action as if the roller was on a ball. It is not like the other rollers on the quarter glass that only rotate on their pin and don't tilt side to side. Is that right?

3) My door window rollers have lots of play. They spin very freely and feel kind of loose. They don't feel firmly attached to their pins and have a lot of play. I'm thinking they need replacement, but I'm not sure since I've never messed with any others before. Are they supposed to be loose?

4) Where can I find the rollers that mount on the door glass? I can find the rivet/rollers that mount on the regulator (there are three on each regulator). The ones that are currently mounted on my glass (two on each door glass), look different than the ones currently mounted on my regulators. And I cannot find the door glass rollers online. I can only find it as a set that comes with the metal mounting plate.
