Satin Black or Matte Black on 68 Camaro

Thinking of wrapping my car fully in Satin Black or maybe just keeping the hood in gloss black to give a contrast.

Anyone wrapped/painted his in Satin Black? Please share photos

Don't do a wrap on a classic like that. Paint it. Just My Opinion.

I'm not a hater on wraps, but the blacks are getting over used. I would use a blue, orange, or something else. I saw a third gen the other day that was wrapped in gloss orange. Could not tell it was a wrap. They even did the door jambs.

Black has been over done in the last few years. Look....a 68 camaro that someone rattle canned satin black. If you are going to wrap it think about another color or contrasting color combination. There are some nicely done wraps out there.

Re: Satin Black or Matte Black on 68 Camaro

I have seen enough "black" in the pro touring world to last me a lifetime... personally I am very tired of the black cars, black wheels, black trim, black bumpers, black engine accessories, etc etc.... not very interesting in my opinion.

Satin Black or Matte Black on 68 Camaro

thanks for the input guys. Yes, i agree paint > wrap but also more expensive. Another thing is, the current paintjob i have is also really nice so i can always go back to that if I wrapped the car.

We have a really good shop here who does wraps on classics/exotics u name it.. and do a veryy good job.. not the noticeable wrap type.

Another thing is that I like Dark colors on cars or White. and I just like the full black look makes it aggressive in my opinion. below is my current paint

Re: Satin Black or Matte Black on 68 Camaro

Since it's already gloss, why not do Satin for something different

I would keep it simple

Hmm.. that's actually a good idea. Maybe Satin black on the gray paint and keep the bottom half black gloss. I'll try to find photos of 2 toned satin/gloss .. Thank you
