350 emblem to Z/28

I have a '69 Camaro that has the "350" emblem on the front fender. I was wondering if the Z/28 emblem will fit the same hole pattern?

It should fit. The fenders were made standard or RS for grille. The emblem holes should be the same no matter what model car you have.

i don't believe that to be correct. i could be wrong, but i think the holes in the fenders for mounting emblems are in unique positions for each emblem. the square styl engine call-out emblems may all be the same from 230-396 but i think the Z-28 will line up different

I believe that's correct and there is a different factory support on the RS fenders from that of the standard fender which can be added of course.

Re: 350 emblem to Z/28

So I am trying to look at pictures of the backs of the emblems and they definitely look like a different hole pattern. I was going off the fact that when you order a fender you don't designate Z/28 or SS 350. But upon further review they don't have any holes and you have to drill your own holes. I see all sorts of templates for drilling the holes.
So back to the OP, it may be easier it cut off the tabs on the back of the Z/28 emblem and use some 3M tape.

Re: 350 emblem to Z/28

I have RS fenders and currently already have the "350" emblems on the fenders, so the holes are already drilled from the factory. I was thinking of the 3M tape also, but dont want the holes visible if they are in areas where the 350 was located. basicly looking to see if I can rebadge the car. Front RS grill is no issue, but rear panel is my next question.

No, the z/28 emblem has different holes than just the engine badge. The AIM has the hole locations with dimensions.

Here are the AIM pages. The SS and RS are different also.

Thanks everyone for the help. I’ll keep the 350 as is. Just thought I would give it a try.
