Re: Cowl hood on a paint stand

Steven, Are you looking to paint the hood on that stand or is it just for storage?
I would use a fold up style stand for painting. Might take 2 stands. I don't think
the stand you show will work for painting a hood. JMO.

Yes for painting that way i can make it vertical then horizontal

Would seem alot easier than to heave it up on a stand
Plus i can roll it out in the sun

Re: Cowl hood on a paint stand

When you hang or fasten hoods for paint use the bolt holes for hinges and then the latch up front. If you use those you can get paint everywhere all at one time. OE is color on top and black underneath.

Not sure if thatís what you were looking for.

My plan was to use a reg stand to do the underside then use the stand pictured to to the top side and then i can easily tuck it out of the way while i continue to work on the car

Just wondering if the stand i have is strong enough as those cowl hoods are pretty heavy
