Question Anyone have their car wrapped?

Wondering if anyone has had their car wrapped instead of painted. I'm thinking about it, but don't know the cost, or how long it lasts before degrading. Had a friend just get back from the sema show, and he couldn't believe what they have out there now.

I have seen some "ok" wrapped cars. The cost was close to 5K. They claim that a garaged car wrap is good for about 5 years if that helps.

Re: Anyone have their car wrapped?

The wraps can easily cost $5k or more. Taking it off down the road is also not a cheap proposition.

Re: Anyone have their car wrapped?

Yeah, 5 years ain't gonna be long enough. And I'm not sure if they can put it over primer sealer. I really want the matte black look and the wraps seem to show it better. Oh well.

Re: Anyone have their car wrapped?

The wrap has to cover a smooth surface. Any imperfections will show through the wrap.
