68 Camaro Exterior Trim Reveal Molding Question

I am looking to add to my 68 hardtop coupe the "Exterior Trim Reveal Molding Set" This set is attached to the top of the doors and quarter panel on the exterior.

I had asked one supplier and they said that they had the molding but it was really thin and not worth the price and not recommended.

Does anyone have a supplier that they have bought this molding from and are satisfied with the product quality and workmanship?

Thanks
Lee

Re: 68 Camaro Exterior Trim Reveal Molding Question

DESCRIPTION from Rick's:

Reproduction of Original
Fits 1968 Coupe
Attaches to Outer Upper Door and Quarter Panel
Stainless Steel
Thinner Material than Original
Set of Four
Rick's First Generation offers this reproduction of the 1968 Camaro coupe upper door and quarter reveal moldings. These moldings were only available as an option in 1968 and will not fit any other year Camaro. However, if your '68 Camaro does not have the upper door and quarter reveal molding, it can be added with no modification to the door or quarter panel.

NOTE: These moldings may have small dings and dents on the ends and may not look as good as an original set of moldings. Unfortunately, this is the way the manufacturer makes them and cannot be considered damaged or defective.

Re: 68 Camaro Exterior Trim Reveal Molding Question

I have a complete set used GM belt moldings minus the felts. There are some on e-bay as well.

Lee, our 68 has them and I had our originals restored and there is no way with how repro trim fits Id put repro trim on. Even originals can be a pain to place on that the piece on the door matches perfectly with the quarter window piece. Look for original pieces/set.
