Okay, I'll start things off by entering Old Yeller. I've owned this car for almost 30 years. It's a 68 RS convertible with the original 327/210 motor and 3:08 posi rear. The original trans is long gone and was replaced with a Muncie M20 and Hurst shifter. I restored it in the early 90's and have been tinkering with it since. There are minor mods to improve driveability; sub-frame connectors, big sway bars, IROC steering box, etc. I replaced the 2bbl carb with a date correct 4bbl Rochester and manifold. The latest addition was the steelies and dog-dish caps.

Re: November 2016 Ride Of The Month Nonimations - no rollovers this mo

Kevin's beautiful BY Drop Top gets my vote, but I will add my 67 to help boost the car count.

This is my 67 Project Ive been working on for the last few months. I bought it pretty much sight unseen as a basket case on May 06 of this year. The car was born just a
6 cyl with a 3 on the tree in nantucket Blue with black standard interior & had been dead for 25 + years. Since dragging this little diamond in the rust home, Ive replaced both rear quarters, outer wheel houses, trunk drop offs, the top of the dash, the trunk filler and a several sections of the floor.

I painted it September 19th at home in my garage in Marina Blue & added a white D91 stripe. The engine is a Goodwrench crate engine That Vegas69 was kind enough to make me a smoking deal on and the turbo 350 trans. I also installed a full American Thunder Flowmaster exhaust kit also courtesy of John.

I rebuilt the front subframe with tubular control arms, Power steering and a full disc brake kit from "the right stuff".

The wheels are 15x7 rallys with 215x65 Cooper Cobras

The car is a very early 08E build date less than 3500 units in the production year.

Re: November 2016 Ride Of The Month Nonimations - no rollovers this mo

The April Ride of the Month is actually a special running for Projects.

Wreck to Ride of the month winner being the vehicle best judged to have made the best progress from dumper to daily driver, wreck to ride.

The hope is that some of our sponsors with customer service forums here on TC would be willing to pitch-in some goods or services to the winner to get the final boost they need to get the project done.

Stay tuned for the details later this winter.

Brian

Re: November 2016 Ride Of The Month Nonimations - no rollovers this mo

Here is my Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28. Its an X77 D80 car that has 86xxx original miles and still retains it's "Born with" 302 & BU 3.73 rear end, unfortunately the original Muncie is MIA. It has it's original TRim 712 Black Deluxe Interior, tilt steering, AM/FM, & console gauges. The car has only had one repaint done in 1986 by the 2nd owner that still show well.
The car currently has a set of 15x7 Torque Thrust Originals front & rear with 225x60's up front and 235x60's on the rear.

Re: November 2016 Ride Of The Month Nonimations - no rollovers this mo

Oner more to get the contest going..

68 Rag top
This car is a daily driver that I would jump in and drive cross country in with out a second thought. It has a 355 and turbo 350 trans with a 3.31 positrac 12 bolt out of a 69 impala that I cut down here at home. Power steering, disc brakes & power top. I taught my daughter to drive in this very car at age 13 and she has raced this car at the drag strip for the last couple of years.
