question about an order

I ordered a part online. I received an email stating the part was out of stock.

I do not want to cancel the order. Why can't you just order the part from the manufacturer and ship the part to me when it arrives? I am from Louisiana, I am not in a hurry.

I tried calling Rock Auto and y'all don't take customer's calls about an order.

The order number is 772 12 146.

Re: question about an order

They donít work that way.

Better to cancel and order from a company that has it in stock

Re: question about an order

They have a deal where they will send you an email when it is stock. Iíve used it when I could wait but it took several months...

Re: question about an order

Thank you for the responses. I was hoping someone from Rock Auto would read the post and converse with me. Maybe I could have talked them into making an exception. I guess that is not going to happen. I canceled the order and bought my part from someone else.

Maybe the place is run by robots. My answering machine at home recorded a message from one of the Rock Auto robots. It filled up the whole tape just repeating the same thing over and over. My wife called me at work and asked me why I was buying rocks. The robot was a little rude.

Please don't think that I am a racist. I actually like robots. Robby the Robot is my favorite. I mean who would not like him? He makes whiskey and has a drop dead gorgeous girl as a sidekick. She ran off with the captain of the spaceship after her father died. Robby went with her.

Modern day robots really need to learn manners from an old timer like Robby. It is not just the Rock Auto robots. My navigation robot in my truck needs to learn when it is appropriate to speak. I am not sure if Robby is available for teaching since he is somewhere in another galaxy. Another way is to send all the 21st century robots to school. I can recommend one. It is called Moller Beauty College and Charm School. It is off of Airline Hwy. in Kenner, Louisiana.

Rock Auto can be a B....ch to work with sometimes. They never want to admit any kind of fault. I've went round and round with them a few times.

Re: question about an order

I find most of the stuff I use to buy from Rock Auto for my daily driver pickup and even my wife's car from Summit now.

I'll find the part # at rock auto, and most of the time I'll find it at Summit when I put the P/N# in the search bar.
Summit is way easier to deal with and you don't get multiple shipping charges like Rock Auto.

I'd Cancel the order,Rock Auto needs to work on their game.

421" Dart SHP block
TKO 600 RR
Dutchman 9" w/3.70 US Gear Lightning r&p
