Eagle Field 2018
Took my car to Eagle Field in Firebaugh, California on Sunday. Been there many times. Some good 1/8 mile drag racing, run what you brung type stuff. The track is an old air field and the races are 1/8 mile. I only made 2 passes because I blew a header gasket. On the first pass I left in 2nd gear at 50% throttle and went full throttle for just the last second. It ran 6.857 at 108MPH. On the second pass I also left in 2nd gear at 50% throttle and after about 2 seconds, went full throttle. It ran 6.63 at 113mph. After the first pass I noticed a small exhaust leak. After the 2nd pass the exhaust leak was huge! It blew out a chunk of the gasket. The track was hooking and I was ready to try launching in 1st gear, but I was not going to run my car with a huge exhaust leak. Here's the video.
