Looks like you have cleaner car to start with. RS too! If it were me, I'd keep it bone stock-looking on the outside, since it's an original RS, and then update everything else internally and drive-train-wise. An RS Stealth-Sleeper! Have fun and welcome aboard!

Thumbs up Re: 69 Camaro RS Build Project

Oil pan, I've used a modified 'Hummer' pan, the GM Performance kit, and the Holley system.
All have fit fairly well, but the Hummer took some mods ...
GM kit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/nal-19212593
Holley kit - http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-302-1

For suspension, other than mod stock I've been very happy with both Hotchkis and DSE parts.
Pricier, but worth it ...

Wink Re: 69 Camaro RS Build Project

The Hummer pan needs to be checked carefully for cross link clearance.
The choice/type of mount(s) you have or select will dictate what work needs to be done to get there.

Brakes are a huge personal choice area.
Some are just looking for better cruise type systems while others are driven to put the biggest system on thy can - whether thy need or can use it at all ...
Here's a link to Dave's excellent ite ith lots of options for upgrades - http://www.pozziracing.com/12_corvet...es_on_fgen.htm

Nice project you have there. Looks like a better starting point than most projects posted here.
I do have one question; What is that huge engine lathe doing in an auto shop?
