Update to the trunk pan prep. This has been a bugger to get into the tight areas.

Just about ready for the trunk pan fit up. I thought I'd leave the weatherstrip channel in for strength until the floor is welded.

Re: 1969 Plain Jane Build in Michigan

My project has been on pause while I shop for a new air compressor. Mine finally gave out.

Do I have to remove the decklid hinge support bracket to fit the full pan in? It doesn't seem to fit.

Re: 1969 Plain Jane Build in Michigan

Dave, I had the brackets removed from the inner wheel houses when I replaced the
full trunk on my 67. If I remember correctly it was needed to fit the full trunk.

Man nice get r dun attitude! I'm so glad I no longer live up north, while our floors and trunks still rust from leaks at least they don't get this bad from salt
A while back you mentioned doing up the rear end, may I suggest to look for a Nova 8.5 and upgrade in strength and parts availability and most Nova's 72-78 are multileaf perches you will need to shorten driveshaft about 2" but these are almost as strong as a 12 bolt
carry on sir

Thanks for the idea. That may be a future upgrade. At this point I just want to get it on the road.
