Aussie 68 Budget Build

G'Day! I thought I would post a retrospective build thread as my car is mostly finished.

I have been a car guy all my life and I have owned a few cars in my time, mostly Aussie muscle. But my dream car has always been a First Gen Camaro. About 10 years ago, I was in a position to fulfill this dream and that's when I discovered this amazing forum. I lurked here for for a good 3 years learning everything I could whilst I searched for the right car. It was a chance meeting that I found out about a car for sale not 20 minutes from my house. Cut a long story short, I bought it and spent the next 6 years building it. I was relying on very limited means, so it was definitely a low budget build. Also, I had no automotive experience prior to this build and I am really proud to say that I jumped in head first and did much of the work myself. However, none of this would have been remotely possible if not for this fantastic forum and all of you who frequent it. I had some pretty tough times going through this build and it took a great deal of resolve, however seeing the builds and reading about the experiences here kept me motivated, so I just want to say thank you all for helping me, even when you didn't know you were.

Anyway, here is the last 6 years condensed into a few photos.

The car as I bought it. 68 Standard coupe, tired 454, T400, 10-Bolt mono leaf rear

Looks like you used only the best drivetrain parts. Wish I had your "limited means". LOL

Very nice build. Thanks for all of the pictures.
