That was painful to watch..the guy should have realized he would NEVER recoup a 6 figure restoration cost on a Z without its born with engine. The 40 grand loss must have been a painful education.

Anyone notice that the 'real deal DZ engine' wasn't a Flint casting?

Nice catch, but as long as we are being technically correct, there is no such thing as a "Flint casting". Castings came from the Saginaw Foundry and were machined at Flint.

My meaning was a block casting that would have had the oil gallery hole drilled and plugged at Flint as part of the machining process. Let's reword that to 'Flint-machined casting'

Understood. Just being persnickety. And like I said, nice catch.

I can also see the bogus V0203DZ restamp in your screenshot. Must have been stamped to order as the trim tag is 02A NOR270936.

See how easy it was for Alan to find the correct motor? Just order it from "Restamps R Us".
