Well, it might not look like lot of progress but the body is just about ready for sealer and primer.
I pulled this car out of a shop in March and am really glad for it.
The shop owner did not execute as I had instructed. I requested a DP90 sealer. He said he applied it. Well, he did not. He also took too long to apply clear coat and the paint lifted.
When he tried to charge me for the repainted, I pulled the car.
Anyway, I will DP 90 all the bare metal now that I stripped the window wells, rockers, pinch welds, trunk, underbody and interior. I also removed almost all the old base coat. I'll have jambs cleaned tomorrow so I can begin sealing.
I also found one small hole in the driver side rear wheel well.
The shop owner plugged a small hole in the quarter but left a 1 inch by 1/2 rust hole in the well.
The metal round it was so clean that it was very easy to surgecly remove a small piece. I order a new well and will butt weld in the small pie shaped piece later this week. The quarter and inner quarter panel were unaffected and in great shape.
