RS grille

I am going to change out the grille in the 69 to a RS style with hideaway headlights. Where would be the best place to get a complete kit & should I use electric or vacuum actuators.

Re: RS grille

You can still buy the GM grille. That is the way to go. I used Retro Electro actuators and CHQ for the doors etc.

Re: RS grille

Several of the aftermarket companies have complete kits. I am sure Rick's Camaro's and Classic Industries has a complete kit. The only thing you may have to do (possibly) it spot weld a couple of tabs on your fenders. Most of the replacement fenders have the tabs already. I have thought about doing this several times. I would go with electric actuators. Are you going to do the correct taillights/back up lights, or leave those alone?
