I was wondering about high volume or high pressure oil pumps in this scenario.
I remember seeing a video with a guy adjusting rockers running on a stock smallblock with very little oil splash but iirc, very low rpm like 500rpm, which would reduce oil pressure and splash. Another consideration is whether you are working on a level surface. Mine driveway isnít so i use the cut valve cover to help prevent dripping to the headers.

Adjust them with it off. Just loosen them and wait a few minutes before adjusting.
