Heater fan does not run all the time

I have a 2000 Blazer. The heater fan does not run all the time and when it begins to run, it will run until the vehical is shut off. Sometimes it will run when you restate the vehical but not all the time. The controls check out ok. The heater warms the car and the defroster also works fine. I am beginning to think it is the vacuum system, but I have no clue where to start. Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Re: Heater fan does not run all the time

John, There is most likely a resistor in the system that has gone bad. Most
are located behind the glove box. You will have to remove the glove box to
get at it. It's a fairly common Chevy truck thing.
