Kent Moore J 39580

Hello everyone, Well I need to change the motor in my 2005 uplander van. I need to find a kent moore J-39850 engine support table used or see if there is anything anyone on here would suggest using. It would be nice to get the deminsions if I could to build one. I just cant spend $1150 on a cart I might only use once. Thanks in advance.

Seems like an absurd amount of money for an engine stand. Why not just sit the engine/trans assembly on a pallet or flat cart and ratchet-strap it down? Once it's out from under the van, you can break the trans free and sit the engine on a standard engine stand.

Well the jack stands would hold it but then how do you get it out from under car. Here is what i need. maybe this will explain it a little more.

We used that engine support all the time. You need a rack, to lift the car over the engine, then move the engine around. or just work under the car.

Re: Kent Moore J 39580

Buy a 4 leg engine stand. Cut it up and weld it to give you the lower box so you have the box with the wheels then maybe weld some jack stands in the corners.Either way your going to need to get the front up high enough to wheel it out.I would figure out a way to lift the front of the van and roll it back over the engine.Hoist maybe? Maybe set the engine on a pallet jack and lift the front of the van real high and pull the jack out with the engine on it.

We used a trans jack with a welded angle iron support structure to fit under engine oil pan rails to support it - worked like a charm and was very easy to adjust the fit.
Think the metal cost less than $20 - and already had a trans jack, but they are available for way less than $1,200
Try visiting your local Harbor Frieght Tool and see what they have.
