Any Corvette guys??? Need help with shifter ID.

Hey guys,
No corvettes for me but I do have this shifter laying on the bench I need help identifying so maybe I can get it in the hands of someone that can use it.

I think is is for a vette??? Thanks guys!

Certainly resembles what is seen in C3 vettes.

I also think it's vette C3. I know it's not C4 because I have one of those taking up space on my bench.

C-3 Corvette shifter mount to a bracket that bolts to the cross member, and the handle is longer,
the shifter in the pictures bolts to the trans is a 1964-65 some where in 1966 the shifter started mounting to the cross member...

Its DEFINATELY for C2 , it looks like 65 by the mounting bracket. C3 has longer upper handle (like crash posted) and also tags with the oblong hole in the middle of the slot for retention by a bolt instead of stud.

im going to see if it would be right for my C2. it had a hurst shifter installed MANY years ago and i have thought about getting the right one for it ..
