Ignition tumbler change

Hi guys,
Anyone change the ignition key tumbler on a Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 2009.
Any tips would be helpful

I haven't done this exact model but it should be pretty straight forward. If key is present you can turn to the crank position (disconnect Battery) and then push the retainer to release assembly. If key is not present there is a tool that allows you to release assembly without turning key.

On early camaros (and other cars, I assume) there is some casting flash that must be broken away with a small bladed screwdriver or similar tool to access the release button on the cylinder. Don't really know if that's true on later model vehicles like yours.
