MSD help

Wiring up my sons car and I have a question. We're using a MSD 6al and a 3-step. He has a Autometer in dash tach, a line lock, and trans brake. Where I'm running into an issue is with a shift light. He wants to use the shift light that originally came on a Monster tach that he is no longer using. It was controlled by a dial on the old tach. Is it possible to wire the shift light up to this set up without buying an additional rpm control box?

So what I am trying to control will be rev limiter, shift light, line lock, and trans brake. Thanks for any help.

Re: MSD help

You'll need an RPM activated switch like a MSD 8950 to operate the shift light. You can run the tach and RPM switch off the tach wire from the 6AL box.
