Restoring black trim

Does anyone have a tried and true way to properly restore black plastic/vinyl trim? I have tried the Maguiars, wipe new and a slew of other crap that sorta works for a very short time. I am not interested in doing the heat gun trick. I use 303 on my vinyl roof and it works great, but that's not the same thing as plastic. Just thought I would ask around. Figured it would benefit others as well. Thanks, J.R.

I believe turtle wax has a specially formulated liquid for this, Turtle Wax (T-128KT) Premium Trim Coating Kit.

Re: Restoring black trim

I used dupli-color vinyl die on my seat backs and kick panels. The dash pad got warm soapy water and a good old military spit shine with shoe polish.
