Nice Day in the Pacific NW for a ride in the Super Sport

decided to take what will be my last ride this year in the Super Sport,,I love these old cars!
she's a wee bit dusty,,I need to get a decent cover for her, but shes going into hibernation for the winter
she squeaks a bit because the shocks are shot and it doesn't sound like a muscle car,,it has stock type exhaust or so I think and its very quiet
but with 54K original miles she still goes down the road and shifts like butter

Wow - I don't think I've ever seen that combination - bench seat, floor shift and fold down rear seat....

Re: Nice Day in the Pacific NW for a ride in the Super Sport

That is just awesome! Does it say Muncie on the shifter handle? Nostalgic for 3-speeds. Both of my first gen Camaros (high school and now) started out that way.

Note: just went to Camaros.org and I see it was made by BW which you said Still wonder what's on the handle? Aftermarket?

Re: Nice Day in the Pacific NW for a ride in the Super Sport

Yep the shifter is a Muncie! were your earlier cars both factory 3 speeds? were they Saginaw or the Borg-Warner? I'm having trouble finding parts for it, nothings wrong with it, I just like having extra stuff

Re: Nice Day in the Pacific NW for a ride in the Super Sport

Stupid Question. Why would the handle say Muncie if it did not have a Muncie?

Re: Nice Day in the Pacific NW for a ride in the Super Sport

Got it. I was just always thought that the Muncie handle only came with the Muncie trans. Guess not. Thanks. That just means there are more of these out there than I thought. Should be. I haven't found one yet at a decent price in good condition anyways.
