Spark plugs

Hi guys

I have an issue with my 350 and wanted to run them by you here. I have to say the small block is not in a Camaro though . it is out of one.
But this seemed to me to be the best place to help me.

I noticed the other day that the white part of my plugs are turning almost black. what does that indicate or is that normal.

thanks

Al

Re: Spark plugs

Sorry my bad , I mean the white on the outside of the plug. but thanks because I am going to sit down and try to explain the problem I am having that started with a miss in my old motor to checking and replacing everything on it to finally installing a new motor and ending up with the same miss . it is not as noticable at idle but under normal driving conditons it is. it is constant and seems to get worse as you drive. that is the basics . later I will explain in detail.
Almost gave the car away last summer !

thanks

Re: Spark plugs

The discolor of the porclein is due to ionization of the air around the plug due to the high voltage traveling within the plug. Normal occurrence. Simular to static electricity - hair and carpet thing.
