Question about gas tank on a 69....

I have tank out of car. I'm trying to dump out all the gas, but it won't all come out because of the baffles.

Does anybody know how the internal baffles are configured?
Are some attached to bottom and some attched to top of the tank?

BTW: I think it's an aftermarket tank.

Re: Question about gas tank on a 69....

Both the 69 GM tanks I have are unbaffled. Always made for fun when the gas cap rubber went bad (or if you got the stupids and left it off...)

Stock tank: no baffles
Non-OE style aftermarket tank: who knows, depends on which tank it is.

Light a match so you can see down into it

Driving a #s-matching Z in the rain..... and lovin' it....
