draining battery

hello my sons camaro has and elec. problem runs good but if left alone for three days no start-up will need jump not battery but something is shorting out ?

Could be anything from a Bad Battery Cell, Bad Alternator Diode, Short in Regulator to bad Terminal Ground(unlikely) or short in the Off Key Electrical Circuit.

if you have a multimeter set on amps and disconnect positive terminal on battery.
one lead goes on battery positive terminal other multimeter lead goes to positive cable.
If you see large amount of current drawthen pull fuses one at a time until the current draw drops significantly.
that is the circuit where you have a short.
also keep in mind the clock or radio uses a bit of current draw even when car is turned off.
if you dont have a multimeter you can use a 12 volt test light in the same manner as above.
