Question Keeps running?

79 camaro 350 motor somethimes motor keeps running after I turn off motor any help

It may be the timing, is it diesel-ing, we need more info , whats the setup,? is it stock, MSD,? more info, --- aftermarket electric fans, ?

If it keeps running like normal (not dieseling) thin you probably have a bad ignition switch. It it snorts and farts like it's mad you turned the key off then you have a dieseling problem that is most likely timing related.

My set up is an msd dist msd box and wires 350 motor 4bbl edelbrock carb 600cmf.And sometimes it has dieseling problem What shoud the timing be set as?

Check the MSD web site. You will most likely have install a diode in a wire somewhere, it tells you what to do in the instructions. Mine is in a 67 and i put mine in the brown wire by the voltage reg.

could be. you haven't changed the alternator recently ?
it could be feeding back from that through the lamp, resistance wire
or other wiring to the ignition box.

'67 Camaro
orignal a 250 6cyl, manual 4 spd
replaced with a '69 327 by previous owner
currently swapping it to a '85 454 BB

already fixed:
HEI + electr fuel pump was connected to res wire.
SI alternator connected to external regulator
