69 RS headlight doors

A month ago I started my 69 RS Z28 to run it and excersise everything. The vacumn headlight doors worked perfectly. I started the car yesterday to do the same thing and the headlight doors would not work at all. What should I check as the car was not touched since last month?

Re: 69 RS headlight doors

Start by using the manual open switch on the vac accumulator to see if they open - if they do it's upstream somewhere.

on edit :

If they don't open - check to make sure you have vacumn to the accumulator next.

Re: 69 RS headlight doors

I had the exact thing happen to mine.

I ended up swapping the aftermarket vacuum switch/valve for an original I had and they worked perfectly.

Re: 69 RS headlight doors

Skeeter... how are you adjusting your doors with the engine compartment wrapped up? Looks like you got them lined up pretty good.
