Re: 69 camaro won't start

try to pour a little gas in the carb while someone cranks it and see if you can get it to run that way(be carefull). If you can then you know its a fuel problem. Might pull a valve cover and make sure everything looks good when your trying to start it. Also check the plugs after you crank for a minute and that might tell you something

Re: 69 camaro won't start

Just died? Like it was shut off or did it stumble, buck, and give up the ghost? It could be the dreaded stripped nylon cam gear. Easy to check. With the dizzy cap off, watch the rotor while someone turns the starter. No rotation or a hesitation of the rotor means major trouble. The valves, push rods and nearly everything that moves is in big trouble. Cross your fingers. No doubt you'll eliminate that possibility first. Hope you don't have one of those old drives. Good luck. Ignition switch on the steering column, also check the harness at the column to make sure all pins are making good contact.

Re: 69 camaro won't start

You do have power to your dist thru the hot wire..Right? this has to be some thing really different...you've changed every thing, might try a compression test on couple cylinders. could have jumped time. Is there spark at plug wires? Sorry just trying to think it thru. get out ole test light and start tracing powers and grounds GOOD LUCK j
