Engine Skipping

i have a 2002 v6 camaro and have just had a new fuel pump installed but soon after getting my car back i engine now runs very rough and has a skipping feel to it. but what has me stumped is sometimes it runs fine and then other times it skips so terribly i feel like its about to brake down. I was told that i possibly have contaminated fuel and i put injector cleaner and water remover in my tank but neither has helped. Does anybody what is goin on and how i can fix it?

Re: Engine Skipping

Does your check engine light flash on and off when the Skipping occurs? These guys are pretty good at storing failures current and in history.Maybe an autozone will scan for dtc,s at no cost to you and then you can post up the dtc for consideration here.

Re: Engine Skipping

Do a visual inspection to make sure the electrical connectors of everything are on tight.
Hopefully, you don't smell any raw fuel while the car is running as if an improperly connected fuel hose is present.
