Motor run on

just finishd my friends 68 camaro and when i go to turn it off the motor doesnt turn off keeps going when the key is off,anyone had the same problem.has external volt.reg.cant seem to find whats the problem

Do you have a MSD 6A or 6AL. If so, you will have to run a resistor on your relay that is mounted on your radiator support on the driver side. I had the same problem on my 69, after I installed the resistor was installed the problem went away. Call MSD they will help you through it.

It still might be the same thing. Did you change something in the ignition.

Next time it's running, remove the yellow wire on the coil, if OE wiring.
If it dies, swap yellow wire at starter solenoid to the other small post.

The above is suggested if nothing was changed elsewhere in the harness and just the coil swapped out.

You didn't mention how long it will run on, but if it just "diesels" turn down the base idle to close the throttle blades more.
