Road Crud inquiry

...while driving down the road the other day I picked-up a large piece of light weight plastic (kind that cleaner clothes comes in). As expected I could not avoid it and rolled over it, to which I discovered (as expected) it immediately became welded to my exhaust system underneath, around the cat-converter.
The smell is discusting, but other than the smell, (which I hope will eventually go away), I want to know for sure that it will not cause any mechanical problems I may not be aware of?

Appreciate hearing from any Tech guru about my concerns!!

Re: Road Crud inquiry

once it burns off the exhaust, you will never know it was there.. well, some of it might have gotten wound up around the driveshaft or behind the yoke on the rear end- it might be worth the time to crawl under there and check to make sure it isn't wrapped around the yoke before it can eat thru the seal.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Re: Road Crud inquiry

Hmmm, the guy that painted my car also had a lot of paint on the exhaust. It stinks but nothing bad can happen unless it gets hot enough to flame.
