Re: wipers do not work properly

Ern, this is a common problem. The parking circuit is handled by a ground at the upper most grommet, there is a brass ring grounding the base of the motor through the grommet and screw to the firewall. If you dont have a good ground there, the park will not work. Unscrew that screw and clean the grommet and brass ring. Once it parks consistantly, realign wiper arms by taking them off when parked and installing them even with the lower molding.

Re: wipers do not work properly

That is the most common issue, espec after a repaint
The other is the arms have been bent out of wack slightly

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative

Re: wipers do not work properly

i tryed a jumper wire to the motor no change. in seems like the motor parks half way through its sweep then it goes up and the wipers go down to far . do you still think is a ground problem. when it parks the rod on the motor is straight down looking through te cowl. any ideas thanks

Re: wipers do not work properly

Ern, the motor arm should be pointing halfway to the drivers side. When you let the wipers run for a couple of swipes and then turn them off what happens? Just stops or moves a little more? the wiper transmission might not be installed correctly.
