Cool raw fuel smell

hi guys, i have a 396 with a q jet and am getting a raw fuel smell out on the hi way,no visible leaks, any thoughts on what it could be? car runs fine ,idles fines, just get the smell, not in town. any help would be great

I had the same issue on my 350, turned out to be my carb was too big, more cfm than I was using...

thanks blumarln ,have found where the smell is coming from. fuel is coming out of the accellerator pump shaft hole of and on but only on the highway. seems to be fuel level trouble but in town it is fine,car runs great,any thoughts out there. have not done pressure test yet just thought i,d throw this out there ,
