Camaro spits back through the carb

I have an 81 Camaro, it has a 350 with a Holley 750 dp, the car came from 4700' elevation and now is at 5' elevation, it idles fine but when you rev it up it will s\pit and backfire through the carb, if you ease into the gas it's fine, it doesn't matter if you sitting still with no load or if your going down the road........

Re: Camaro spits back through the carb

lean pops thru the exhaust...the only way to pop back thru the carb is HT lead around the wrong way, valve not seating..that latter could be seveal reasons.
the cyclinder is closed off from the inlet...and the only way it can pop back is if that 'sealing' is not there.

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative

Re: Camaro spits back through the carb

I agree with DEREKA, definitely too lean, lean pops back thru carb. rich pops in exhaust.
