What's up with the wipers

I drove my 68Z in the rain yesterday for the first time in years. When I turned on the wipers the squirters came on. I tried the wipers a couple of more times and the same thing happened. I have a hunch it's the switch giving me the problem....any ideas before I tear into it? Thanks in advance.

Re: What's up with the wipers

1st pull the connector off the pump. Then test the connector with a light bulb (1 lead in each wire). Do you get 12v with wipers running? If not, then your pump's soleniod thing is stuck/broken. If you do, then there is something wrong with the wiring. Wipers get 12v all the time and the switch controls the ground. One wire on the switch is the ground path for the washers and should not complete the ground path unless it is pressed for washer.
