Fuel Pump is stuck...

I have been trying to get the fuel pump outta my 1995 3.4lt V6 and i am having trouble getting the gas tank out, but i still have enough clearance to get to the fuel pump. It seems the fuel pump is caught up on something inside of the gas tank. Anyone know any tricks or tips for getting either the gas tank out or the fuel pump?

Re: Fuel Pump is stuck...

could it perhaps be the fuel sending unit inside the tank...? slowly turn it or flip it over as you're taking it out so you don't get the fuel sending unit caught and break it...
