Re: No spark from distributor?

BRANDON Excluding the fact that you may have wired something wrong i would most definately say you have a bad distributor and i am not vendor bashing here . I. have a friend who has bought a multitude of that brand of parts from a very popular e bayer in the south eastern part of our country and he has sent back 74%of everything he has bought at least once . Some items 2/3 times. He has bought some stuff that was o k out of the box but as far as i am cocerned i dont like the percentage ratio. There are those who use that brand and say that its great stuff for the money . IMHO it looks great at first glance but when you start to analyse it it gets less appealing. Please dont get me wrong i like a good bargain as much as the next guy maybe even more . I am an old yankee horse trader at heart, but i also believe you cant pay a little and get a lot.the other thing is most of the time you get what you pay for. HOPE this helps you. ALEX

Alex, does that distributor need a box or is it stand-alone? No mention of a box in Brandon's question.

Re: No spark from distributor?

This is supposed to be a ready to run distributor, no ignition box needed...I bought it off ebay (new)....wishing I hadnt now. Its not the coil for sure I switched that out with another I had and still no power...starting to believe I might have a bad distributor also.

I do not get that statement...a starter will crank with no power to the coil....
Have you checked with a multimeter?

My Spelling is not incorrect...it is creative

Thats what I was thinking.

Check the wiring to and from the coil to the distributor, might be something out of place or just not getting power to the coil.
