Bad sending unit? again

I just measured the resistance from my fuel sender to ground and got 6.4 ohms and my tank is totally full. It seems like my car is burning them out somehow. That was the second new sender ive put in in the last couple of years. Could my sender wire be shorting out to ground somewhere or what ???

Re: Bad sending unit? again

What brand sending unit are you getting? Check your wiring all the way back to the sending unit to make sure it is not worn. At full you should be reading 90 ohms. If you get another sending unit go with the spectre unit. They are a little more but are well worth it.
