'69 RS hose question

Hi guys,
I want to check my original headlight vacuum hoses on my car for leaks. What's the best way to do this? Is it as simple as pulling the main hose at the intake manifold and pumping some air into it and seeing if it holds?

1969 Van Nuys RS Z/28. Protect-o-plate and chassis broadcast copy. Hugger Orange, original 711 interior, including carpet. Original drivetrain: DZ, M-20, 3:73 BO code peg leg. Flat hood, no spoilers.

Re: '69 RS hose question

does the system work?

Just checking the hoses?

Plug up one end suck on the hose stick your tongue over the hole, does it hold vacuum, if so, good.
