I have a battery that has vents in the caps (delco)and acid is constantly coming out of them and running down onto my battery tray causing a mess. Any solutions?

Thanks,
Andy

Do you have heavy draw accessories? Perhaps a smaller battery than is called for? Anything that overtaxes the battery can cause a high charge rate thus the acid over-run. Check the charging system for high voltage/amps. Make sure your grounds OK. Perhaps add one from the body to the bellhousing. Believe it or not, that has fixed many mystory electric problems, especially on older cars and 6 volt systems. Let us know!

Cool

As Steve suggested, check charging voltage, s/b no more than 14.2 volts. Check size of battery, belt wear, all grounds.

Eastwood sells a pad to place underneath the battery to soak up the overflow. Might try a no-maintainence battery, completely sealed.
