I get a bad vibration coming up through the sifter at 2800 RPM thru 3000 RPM. There is no vibration before or after. 383 stroker externally balanced with correct flywheel, 4 speed T10. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does it do it if you are sitting in nuetral? How about with the clutched pressed? If it only does it while driving, I would suspect your driveshaft may be out of balance. If it does it while sitting still in nuetral, you might want to double check your dampner and flywheel, to make sure they are tight.

If it is happening in one gear while driving you may want to verify that the trans to driveshaft to pinion angles are correct.

I had a similar problem on a 700R4 that I installed. It turned out that the rear of the 700R4 had to be raised about 1.5" to correct the driveline geometry.
