Question

I have a 1997 v6 camaro. I would like to know what the effects would be if I had my heads reworked, ported, and polished(3.8 heads) what would i need to do besides upgrade cam? And would 4.3 vortec heads be ok to use on my 3.8, and what would be the effect, and what would i need to do make it run right? See i want my v6 to whoop v8 *** and other high tech and speedy japanese and euros.

Please respond, i have had trouble getting an answer.

Josh, not for nothing, but the easiest, simplest way to add hp to your mill is to use nitrous. Find the shop in your area that can manipulate the computer and its a wickedly effective add on. Way more power than all the head work/cam stuff.

You have the Buick design 3800. The 4.3 is a 350 Chevy with number 3 and 6 cylinders removed. No parts will interchange. Try a turbo or a belt driven supercharger like Vortec or Paxton. Eaton makes a supercharger for the front wheel drive 3800s. They may make one for the Camaro.

Josh,
One reason that you probably have not had many answers is that most of us dont have time to look at all the "Help me" posts that do not show a subject. Also,
It would help if this question was in the correct forum...probably "engines and drivetrain", maybe "performance".

Trade it in and get a Z/28

or go get a Civic with some Stickers,

I hear the more Stickers and the LARGER the wing , the faster it goes. lets not forget the Trash can hanging out of the back bumper
